12 Major Website Systems Delivered

This report documents every page and system rebuilt or newly launched on the GymTec website. Each item below gets its own dedicated page in this deck — covering what changed, why it matters, and what to prioritize next — followed immediately by a Visual Proof (Before & After) page with real screenshots.

Scope spans front-end conversion UX (widget, header, footer, booking), local SEO/showroom infrastructure (schema, meta, team-to-location linking), new e-commerce templates (store archive, single product), a unified site-wide search + compare tool, a dynamic account portal foundation, ADA/legal compliance language, and a location-based personalization layer for visitors.

📊 Scope Breakdown by Category
📌

Each category received dedicated attention — from front-end conversion mechanics to the back-end data structures (schema, meta fields) that make the site easier to find, easier to shop, and easier to manage internally.

Page 01

Quick Contact Widget

A fast, focused UI/UX improvement to raise contact conversion and surface company contact info more clearly across every page.

💬 What Was Built
  • Persistent, low-friction contact widget available site-wide (not buried in the footer or a single contact page)
  • One-tap access to call, text, and email — no extra clicks or page loads required
  • Consistent placement and visual treatment so it reads as a trusted utility, not a pop-up ad
  • Mobile-first tap targets sized for thumb use since most contact intent happens on phones
  • Lightweight implementation — no impact on page load speed or Core Web Vitals
🎯 Why It Matters
📉

Reduces contact friction. Visitors previously had to hunt for a phone number or scroll to the footer. Now the path to "talk to a human" is visible from the first second on any page.

🧭

Consistency builds trust. Showing the same clear contact options everywhere reinforces that GymTec is easy to reach — critical for high-consideration equipment purchases.

📈

Direct conversion lever. Contact widgets are one of the highest-leverage, lowest-cost UX changes available — small footprint, immediate impact on lead capture.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Layer in basic click tracking (call clicks, text clicks, email clicks) on the widget so we can quantify contact-intent volume by page and feed that data into future SEO/ad prioritization.

Page 02

Showroom Page Template

A reusable, repeatable template for every physical showroom location — built for booking, local SEO, and trust.

🏬 What Was Built
  • Embedded booking flow directly on each showroom page — no redirect required to schedule a visit
  • Local LocalBusiness/Store structured data (JSON-LD) per location
  • Location-specific meta titles, descriptions, and Open Graph tags for accurate local search + social previews
  • Team members linked to their home showroom, with photo and role, so visitors see a real face before walking in
  • Real photography of each showroom floor added (replacing generic stock imagery)
  • Template is repeatable — new locations can be spun up fast with consistent structure and SEO footprint
📐 Local SEO Schema Example
// Simplified example — one block per showroom { "@type": "Store", "name": "GymTec Showroom", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "...", "addressLocality": "...", "addressRegion": "...", "postalCode": "..." }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates" }, "employee": [{ "@type": "Person" }], "openingHoursSpecification": [ ... ] }

This structure lets Google confidently show hours, location, and staff in local/map search results.

💡 Why It Matters
📍

Local search eligibility: Proper schema + geo-tagged meta is a prerequisite for ranking in "near me" and map pack results per location.

🤝

Humanizes the visit: Connecting a real team member to each showroom builds pre-visit trust and reduces no-shows on booked appointments.

Page 03

Footer Rebuild

Updated to visually showcase every showroom location and better organize footer content for usability and local relevance.

🧱 Before → After
AreaBeforeAfter
Showroom InfoBuried, plain text listVisual location cards, linked to showroom pages
Content HierarchyFlat, unordered linksGrouped: Locations · Company · Shop · Support
Local SignalsNoneAddress, phone, hours per location visible
Legal LinksScatteredConsolidated compliance row at footer base
What Was Built
  • Location grid showing each showroom with address, phone, and a direct link to its dedicated page
  • Improved content grouping so navigation, shop links, and legal/compliance links are visually separated
  • Footer now reinforces local presence on every single page of the site, not just the contact/showroom pages
  • Sets up consistent internal linking to every showroom page — reinforcing the local SEO structure from Page 02
💡 Why It Matters

The footer is one of the most-seen — and most ignored — parts of a website. Turning it into a real location directory instead of a link dump does double duty: it helps visitors self-select the nearest showroom, and it gives search engines consistent internal links to every location page, reinforcing local SEO relevance sitewide.

Page 04

Privacy Policy & Legal Pages

Compliance language updated as a documented good-faith effort — full ADA/WCAG remediation is a separate, ongoing workstream.

📄 What Was Updated
PageUpdate
Accessibility StatementAdded, outlining the site's ongoing commitment to accessibility improvements
Privacy PolicyRefreshed language, data collection disclosures updated
Terms of ServiceReviewed and aligned with current site functionality (booking, store, accounts)
Cookie / Tracking DisclosureAdded to reflect analytics and remarketing tags in use
⚠️

Important distinction: The wording added demonstrates a documented, good-faith effort toward accessibility — this is a mitigating factor in ADA-related claims, but it is not the same as full technical compliance.

🚨

Still required for full compliance: a formal WCAG 2.1 AA audit — covering alt text coverage, keyboard navigation, color contrast, focus states, form labeling, and screen-reader testing across templates.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Schedule a full accessibility audit (automated scan + manual review) across the new templates delivered in this project — showroom pages, store archive/single, account portal, and booking flow — since these are new UI surfaces that haven't yet been audited.

Page 05

Search Page — Filtering, Instant Refresh & Compare Tool

Replaces the old search behavior that dumped every query onto the product collection page with no way to filter, sort, or find non-product content.

🚫 The Old Problem
  • Every search dropped the user onto the product collection page — regardless of intent
  • No filtering or sorting available once you landed there
  • Blog posts, service pages, and static pages were invisible to search — even when they were the best answer
  • No way to compare products side by side
What Was Built
  • Unified instant-search across products, blog posts, service pages, and static pages
  • Live filtering and sorting with instant refresh — no full page reload
  • Built-in product Compare Tool for side-by-side spec review
  • Doubles as an internal team lookup tool — staff can quickly reference any page, spec, or article during a customer conversation
🔎 Content Sources Now Searchable
🧰

One tool, two audiences: Customers get real research and comparison ability instead of a dead-end product dump. Internal staff get a fast reference tool for specs, policies, and blog content during calls or showroom conversations.

Page 06

Booking Page — Showroom Qualifying & Sales Rep Choice

A guided booking flow that routes each visitor to the right showroom and lets them choose who they work with.

🧭 Flow Built
  • Step 1 — Qualify: visitor's location/zip determines the relevant nearby showroom(s)
  • Step 2 — Choose Location: visitor confirms or selects a showroom from the qualified list
  • Step 3 — Choose Rep: visitor can pick a specific sales rep tied to that showroom, or "next available"
  • Step 4 — Schedule: calendar/time selection tied directly to the chosen rep and location
🎯 Why It Matters
🤝

Personal connection before the visit. Letting visitors pick a rep (tied to the team bios on the showroom pages from Page 02) builds familiarity before they ever walk in.

📉

Fewer wasted appointments. Qualifying by location/showroom up front avoids booking someone into a showroom that isn't realistically reachable for them.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Connect booking submissions to a shared calendar/CRM view per rep so front-line staff and management can see load balancing across showrooms and reps in real time.

Page 07

"Summer of Strength" Landing Page

A dynamic, location-aware campaign landing page — built as a reusable template for future seasonal promotions.

📍 What Was Built
  • Location is set dynamically based on the visitor's selected/detected showroom
  • Promo content, imagery, and CTA automatically reflect the nearest location
  • Direct connection into the Booking Page (Page 06) and Store Archive (Page 08) for immediate follow-through
  • Built as a repeatable template — future seasonal campaigns can reuse this structure with new content and imagery
💡 Why It Matters
🎯

Relevance drives conversion. A campaign page that reflects the visitor's local showroom (hours, promo, contact) feels personal rather than generic — increasing the odds they book or buy.

♻️

Reusable asset. This template becomes the foundation for every future seasonal or promotional campaign, cutting future build time significantly.

Page 08

NEW Store Product Archive Page

A new filterable product listing template with custom meta-data integration for real shopping decisions.

🧰 Meta Fields Integrated
FieldFilter Behavior
WeightRange filter
Size / DimensionsRange filter (footprint L×W×H)
Specs (motor HP, resistance levels, weight stack, etc.)Attribute checkboxes, category-specific
On SaleToggle filter + visual sale badge
Promo / BundleToggle filter + promo tag badge
BrandMulti-select dropdown
Category / Equipment TypeSidebar tree filter
How It Works
  • All filters apply instantly — no page reload, results refresh in place
  • Multiple filters can be combined (e.g. Brand + On Sale + Weight range) with live result count
  • Sort options (price, newest, best match) work in tandem with active filters
  • Meta fields are pulled directly from each product's custom fields — no manual re-tagging required as new inventory is added
  • Mobile filter drawer keeps the experience usable on small screens instead of forcing horizontal scrolling
💡 Why It Matters
🛒

Real shopping, not just browsing. Customers can now narrow hundreds of SKUs down to exactly what fits their space, budget, and use case in seconds — instead of scrolling an entire unfiltered catalog.

🏷️

Promo visibility built in. On-sale and bundle items are now surfaced as a filterable, badge-visible segment — making active promotions far easier to find than before.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Add a "saved filters" or "notify me" option for out-of-stock/high-demand equipment so filtered searches can convert into email capture when a match isn't currently available.

Page 09

NEW Store Product Single Page

A dynamic product page layout that adapts to whatever meta data actually exists for that specific product — no dead sections, no missing content.

🧩 Dynamic Layout Logic

Each content block on the page only renders if the corresponding meta field is populated for that product — keeping every single product page clean regardless of how much or how little data exists for it.

// Simplified conditional block logic if (product.spec_sheet_pdf) { render("Download Spec Sheet" button); } if (product.brochure_pdf) { render("View Brochure" block); } if (product.assembly_video) { render("Assembly Video" embed); } if (product.warranty_doc) { render("Warranty Info" tab); } if (product.on_sale) { render("Sale Price" badge + strike-through); }
📦 Content Blocks Supported
  • Downloadable spec sheet (PDF)
  • Downloadable brochure (PDF)
  • Assembly / demo video embed
  • Warranty & documentation tab
  • Sale price + promo badge display
  • Related / bundled products carousel
  • "Available at these showrooms" location block, pulled from inventory-to-location mapping
💡 Why It Matters
🧹

No more empty/broken sections. Previously every product page used the same rigid template regardless of whether that data existed — leading to blank spec sections or broken PDF links. Now the layout adapts automatically.

🏬

Connects e-commerce to showrooms. The "available at these showrooms" block ties the online catalog directly back into the physical location network built in Pages 02–03.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Audit existing product records to identify which SKUs are missing spec sheets, brochures, or imagery — since the dynamic layout only shows what data exists, incomplete records will visibly under-perform compared to fully populated ones.

Page 10

Header — Mega Menu & Mobile Nav

A full navigation rebuild for faster access to every page, plus a dedicated space to surface active promotions.

🖥️ Desktop — Mega Menu
  • Single hover/click reveals full category, brand, and services structure — no more multi-level nested clicking
  • Dedicated promo panel inside the mega menu for active campaigns (e.g. Summer of Strength)
  • Showroom quick-links included directly in the nav, tying back to Page 02/03 location pages
  • Visual thumbnails for top categories/brands to speed up scanning
📱 Mobile — Nav Rebuild
  • Accordion-style mobile menu replacing the old flat, scroll-heavy list
  • Sticky contact/booking CTA within the mobile nav for immediate action
  • Search (Page 05) accessible directly from the mobile nav bar
  • Faster tap targets and clearer active-state indicators for current section
💡 Why It Matters
🧭

Fewer clicks to everywhere. Every major page — showrooms, store, services, blog, account — is now reachable in one or two interactions from any point on the site.

📣

Promo visibility upgraded. The mega menu now doubles as a promotional surface, so campaigns like Summer of Strength get visibility on every page load, not just their own landing page.

Page 11

My Account Page — Dynamic Portal

The foundation of the customer account experience — built to expand over time into a full service and order management hub.

🚧 Phase 1 — Live Now
  • WooCommerce order history — view past orders, status, and totals
  • Saved shipping/billing details for faster future checkout
  • Account profile management (contact info, password/security)
  • Dynamic portal shell built to support future modules without a rebuild
🗺️ Roadmap — Future Phases
ModuleDescriptionPriority
Service Request TrackingSubmit and track equipment service/repair requests from the account dashboardHigh
Maintenance Contract ViewSee active maintenance agreements, renewal dates, and coverage detailsMedium
Warranty RegistryAuto-linked warranty status per purchased productMedium
Saved Showroom / RepDisplays the customer's preferred showroom and sales rep (tied to Pages 02 & 06)Medium
Reorder / Repeat PurchaseOne-click reorder of consumables or accessories from order historyLow
💡

Why this matters: The account portal is the retention engine of the site. WooCommerce order history is the baseline every e-commerce account needs — but the real long-term value is turning this into a full customer hub for service requests, maintenance contracts, and warranty tracking, reducing phone/email volume for routine account questions.

Page 12

Region / Zip Code Segmentation Modal

A familiar "store locator" style entry experience — similar to Best Buy, Target, or other major retailers — that personalizes the visit and filters bot traffic from real visitor data.

📍 What Was Built
  • Lightweight modal/popup prompting zip code or region on first visit
  • Valid zip/region entry unlocks a personalized experience — nearest showroom info, localized promos, and inventory availability
  • Choice is stored (cookie/local storage) so returning visitors aren't re-prompted
  • Feeds directly into the Booking Page (Page 06) qualifying step and Summer of Strength landing page (Page 07) location logic
  • Basic input validation helps distinguish real human entries from automated/bot traffic patterns
💡 Why It Matters
🎯

Personalized from the first click. Visitors immediately see relevant showroom info instead of generic national content — mirroring the experience shoppers already expect from major retail sites.

📊

Better visitor data. Region/zip input gives GymTec a clearer picture of where site traffic is actually coming from geographically — valuable for future ad targeting and showroom expansion planning.

🤖

Light bot filtering. Requiring a valid, human-plausible zip/region entry adds a simple layer of separation between genuine visitors and automated traffic before deeper engagement.

🔜 Recommended Next Step

Connect the stored region/zip data into analytics reporting so future monthly reports can break down traffic and conversion by geographic segment — this is the data foundation, the reporting layer is the next build.

A Foundation Built to Scale

All 12 systems are live or in active rollout — from the first-click contact widget to the account portal that will carry customer relationships forward for years. Each piece was built as a repeatable template, not a one-off page, so future locations, campaigns, and product lines can be added without rebuilding the foundation.

The next phase is about depth: full accessibility compliance, deeper account portal functionality, and closing the data loop between the region/zip segmentation layer and ongoing reporting.
