This entire article is purely just about my own personal experience playing Battlefield 6.
Firstly I want to say that it had a smooth launch.
I remember in BF 3 and BF 4 days where the entire launch period sucked.
For BF6 it was rock solid for 99% of all people which is an incredible feat.
Secondly, there are no major bugs or balancing issues other than some challenges and unlock progressions (which has already been addressed 2x) and the balance between aircraft and anti air being extremely too favorable for the ground troops.
As a former Battlefield Ace Pilot, the meta of the current BF6 experience is still largely unplayable for air vehicles.
Between having very low height ceiling and outside boundaries on most maps, and omitting the Little Bird from the launch maps is unforgivable; its as if they don't play their own game.

The biggest downside of the game is tthat there maps are not the right size and style of what makes maps of battlefield so extremely iconic. The entire point of Battlefiel over Call of Duty is that the scael of the combat is on such an extremely nother level., there is no camparison.
It wasntly until the California map with the Golf Carts that BF6 got a map that was TURE TO FORM.
The funny thing is that it was created as a custom game mode in the POrtal engine before the DEVS got around to realeasing it.
Worse sin of all is that apparently the campaign has so many great environmental assets used for the single player campaign that are just begging to be real Muldiplyer maps.
What I also don't inderstadn is whu they dont use the smaller scale maps of NYC Dumbot and thatentire Green area, to then lead to a more tight an claustriphobi exprience of Operation Metro.
Honestly if all they did was re-release Caspian Border and Operation Metro they wuold win over so many audiences it is insane. Literally all they have to do is bring back the best of the biggest and the smallest for the next 2 content drops and they will have a winning ticket.
The "DLC" I wish to see from them in Q1 of 2026 is what I mentioned but ALSO, make a promise or comittment to Strike at Karkand and honoring that content drop for BF4 as it was legendary.
Honestly, throw in a Wake Island map and you will win great public sentiment.
Overall the game is great but the maps it shipped with are not the best.
Granted, each Battlefield shipped with some maps which were massive flops too.
But the core gameplay is overall so good that the only complaint anyone can have is the maps then you know you are onto something.

Assault stim is absolutely useless.
Air balance still sucks.
