Ask for Evidence Without Becoming the Technician
Review understandable results, not just green dashboard icons.
Look around. Try a small click.
This lesson works as a written guide with interactive examples. You can explore here before opening the real application or provider dashboard. A recorded video has not been added yet.
What will make more sense
- Ask what was tested, what the result establishes and which business flows remain unverified.
- Recognize the choice in a prepared business example.
- Explain a small next step before asking an assistant to act.
One idea to keep
Ask what was tested, what the result establishes and which business flows remain unverified.
The short lesson
Read the explanation at your pace
You do not need to interpret every technical header to ask for useful evidence. Begin with the business flow you care about: a customer sends an enquiry, a staff member replies and the website sends a notification. Then ask the responsible helper to explain which parts were tested and what the results show. A small set of clear examples is more useful to an owner than an unexplained screenshot full of green icons.
For incoming mail, an approved test can show whether the intended address receives the message and the right people can access it. For outgoing mail, the operator can inspect the authentication results and relevant domain identities. The exact method depends on the service. The course uses fictional summaries, so you can practice deciding whether an explanation answers the question without sending real messages or granting an assistant mail access.
Keep delivery and inbox placement separate. A successful send or an authentication pass does not guarantee that every recipient will see the message in their main inbox. Recipient filters, reputation, content and other factors can affect handling. Avoid promising that the setup makes spam impossible. A responsible report describes the result, scope and limits, then identifies any follow-up needed for a particular failure or provider requirement.
Ask the agent to explain uncertainty plainly. For example: this sample reply passed the checked authentication, but the receipt service has not yet been verified. That is more useful than declaring the entire system perfect from one message. The operator can use the sender inventory to track which flows remain untested. Keep evidence appropriate to the decision instead of demanding excessive raw data that exposes more information than necessary.
If a problem appears, describe the known facts and pause before broad changes. Which address, which provider, which time and which flow were involved? A responsible helper can inspect the appropriate logs or messages with authorized access. Do not copy passwords or private mail into a course chat to speed up troubleshooting. The connector course explains how real tool access works; it remains separate from the simulated activities here.
The activity asks which completion report is actually informative. Optional practice is reading the fictional verification summary and spotting its outstanding receipt check. The point is to become a better reviewer, not to perform the provider's job manually. You can insist on clear targets, honest limitations and evidence tied to actual business communication while still delegating the technical work to a qualified person or properly connected assistant.

Optional: try 2 small actions at your own pace
You can finish this lesson by exploring the example above. These real-app actions are optional, and there is nothing to submit.
- Optional: read verification-summary.md and identify the unverified flow.
- Optional: compare it with sender-inventory.md to see why the receipt service matters.
