Git and the Story of Your Changes
Understand saved files, recorded checkpoints and useful change notes through visual examples. Review an agent’s edits before preserving a milestone, without typing Git commands.
Understand the idea before the settings
A business document changes over time. A service description gets clearer, an opening time changes, and a teammate asks why. This course shows how a recorded file history helps you answer those questions.
Begin with the prepared before-and-after examples. You do not need Git installed, a GitHub account or a terminal to use the browser activities. The small optional app actions are mainly inspection.
Learn a practical sequence: review the wording, decide what belongs together, describe the checkpoint, then distinguish local history from sharing and backup.
Git setup, identity and team access vary. If you choose real practice, ask a trusted setup helper or assistant to explain the proposed setup in a disposable practice folder before approving it. Nothing here initializes an existing business folder automatically.
No command typing or programming is required. Read the prepared browser examples first. Small optional actions use existing files, ordinary-language requests and the application interface.
What this course helps you understand
- Tell saving, Git checkpoints, online hosting and backup apart.
- Read a change without relying on color alone.
- Choose a small, meaningful checkpoint and description.
- Inspect older wording without replacing present work.
- Ask an assistant for a scoped, reviewable history action.
What you need
- A browser is enough for every written lesson and guided activity.
- The VS Code beginner course, or familiarity with opening a folder and reading a chat, helps with optional practice.
- Real-app AI actions need your own supported assistant connection; account requirements and costs depend on the provider.
Complete written lessons are available. Recorded videos have not been added.

Open proscris-academy-starter/START-HERE.html for the course directory. Shared guidance lives in shared/; this course is in courses/git-and-file-change-history/. Its own START-HERE.html explains the included examples.
The ZIP contains prepared learning files. It does not install an application, connect an account or include paid subscriptions. Real-app actions are optional.
